THE CARES LIST: I am working with Dianne Beckwith on matching kids with seniors to write letters that bring cheer. Here are photos of kids making a difference in the lives of seniors living in resident care facilities. Will you join them? Reach out to me on my contact page and I will work with Dianne to get you going. Thanks for caring!
Usually, groups write letters 2 seniors in need of cheer. But in Annie Benjamin we have a 1-woman whirlwind, writing to 40 seniorrs in Fullerton, CA. Credit also 2 Marley 4 not putting up w/anyone messing w/Mama's work. Thx, Annie (and Marley!) for spreading love and light.
Inspirational teacher Tina Porretta Centineo and her Science & Arts Academy 4th grade students wrote letters (the four photos above) to kids at Kulama Malama, a facility in Ewa Beach, Hawaii, identified by The Cares List, as a place where kids need cheer. From Tina: “SAA's 4th grade students found so much joy in writing the letters during SEL class! I will be going to the post office this afternoon to mail their letters to the kids in Hawaii, and hope they smile ear to ear when they receive them!” Thank you, Tina, and your wonderful students. You are a light in the world!
Luz Pinilla’s great students in Garland ISD wrote letters to seniors at a resident facility in Rockwall. Thank you for your kindness!
